Lead Software Developer

Position Responsibilities

• Participates in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment
• Works across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth
• Develops new features and infrastructure in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements
• Affirms leadership of new projects, from conceptualization to deployment
• Ensures application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintains high standards for code quality and application design
• Architects and provides guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale
• Engages with designers and front-end engineers and collaborates with leading back-end engineers to create reliable APIs
• Collaborates across time zones via Teams, Mattermost, GitHub, documents, and frequent videoconferences
• Influences, innovates, and continuously improves the software engineering process as well as quality, safety, and reliability of products and services provided by Boeing
• Collaborates proactively with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports to understand operational and performance expectations
• Cultivates a positive team culture, team motivation

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field
• 10+ years of experience writing software for data services
• 10+ years of experience developing data pipelines
• 10+ years of experience developing software products in a cloud environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Experience in a manufacturing, assembly, and/or aerospace environment
• Experience in data science, quantitative research science, or data analytics
