Lead Software Engineer

Position Summary

As an Agile Product Management Senior Advisor within Allegiance Benefit Plan Management you will serve as the strategic driver and technical product owner for core TPA platforms, client reporting, and claims management technologies. You will bridge the gap between business leaders self-funded employer group partners and agile software development teams. This role demands strong product vision technical acumen and hands-on execution to deliver scalable web applications, data tools, and provider/member experience platforms across the Allegiance and Cigna ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Vision & Strategic Roadmap: Own the multi-release product roadmap for core Allegiance applications, including self-funded client reporting benefit administration portals or claim processing technology. Collaborate with business product owners operations and executive leadership to align technical solutions with TPA business goals. Conduct market research, data investigations and user feedback analysis to validate feature ROI and enhance customer/client experience.
• Backlog Ownership & Agile Delivery: Translate high-level business strategy into actionable epics, features, and detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria. Lead Agile ceremonies including product backlog refinement, sprint planning, feature demonstrations and PI planning sessions. Ensure delivered work meets Definition of Ready and Definition of Done standards before release into production environments. Identify manage and proactively resolve technical dependencies and roadblocks across multi-disciplinary delivery teams.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science Information Technology Business or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: 12+ years of progressive experience in Product Ownership Product Management or Agile Software Delivery. Demonstrated track record managing product backlogs user stories and technical delivery teams using standard Agile frameworks.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Agile management platforms like Jira Rally or Smartsheet. Working understanding of modern web architectures APIs relational databases and reporting/analytics integrations.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional stakeholder management, active listening, and negotiation skills. High emotional intelligence with a demonstrated ability to navigate matrixed organizations and resolve conflicts.
