Lead Shipping Operator

Responsibilities

• Affirms safety policies and conducts work safely with no incidents.
• Leads an effective team, collaborates with other departments, shares information, implements problem-solving initiatives, provides and seeks advice, and maintains a positive attitude.
• Drives for continuous improvement, completes required training, tests, and recertification, and understands and identifies plant-specific safety equipment and procedures.
• Performs trailer inspections correctly and accurately, identifies materials, confirms receipts, instructs delivery, creates shipping documents, trains others, and performs necessary data entry and corrections.
• Directs trailer loading and unloading, leads daily priorities and time management, and trains shipping employees.
• Completes corrective actions for incidents within the department.

Requirements

• Work safely following all safety rules.
• Two to four years of leadership experience in warehousing and/or transportation.
• Adapts quickly to change.
• Proven expertise in ERP functionality and preferred TMS operation experience.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Available for occasional unscheduled on-call requirements.
• Able to operate different types of PIVs (forklift, powered pallet jack, etc.).

Qualifications

• Essential: Work safely following all safety rules.
• Preferred: Two to five years of plastic extrusion experience.

Skills

• Leadership experience in warehousing and/or transportation.
• ERP functionality and TMS operation experience.
• Ability to adapt to change.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Operate different types of PIVs (forklift, powered pallet jack, etc.).

Pay

Starting Salary: Wages ranging from $21.00 per hour +, dependent on experience.

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
