Responsibilities
- Reviews paperwork for incoming merchandise and customer orders to distribute work activities to team.
- Loads/unloads material onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand.
- Prepares inventory for shipment. Properly bands and shrink wraps pallets and attaches shipping labels.
- Processes shipping orders using computerized shipping system and monitors order pick report.
- Loads and unloads trucks and ensures trucks are loaded by Shippers.
- Maintains warehouse inventory on racks in a neat and orderly manner.
- Trains Shippers/Receivers as assigned.
- Tracks shipping errors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas.
- Generally 7+ years of experience in area of responsibility.
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Experience with shipping/receiving operations in a high-volume warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory tracking, or computerized shipping systems.
- Proven ability to train, delegate tasks, and support junior associates in daily operations.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, order accuracy, and shipping documentation.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot operational issues and resolve shipping or receiving discrepancies.
