Responsibilities
- Assist in completing make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain an adequate supply of make-ready units for the community.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct minor air conditioning/heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing issues, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
- Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
- Conduct daily pool care, ensure proper chemical balance, and address safety concerns.
- Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
- Inspect the property for safety hazards, correct them, and report hazards to the Manager of Facilities and Service.
- Share on-call duty with the Manager of Facilities and Service and service team members; be readily available to respond to the property in uniform/badge.
- Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
- Train and mentor other Service Technicians and Facilities Technicians.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge in plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, landscape maintenance, appliances, and OSHA-related standards.
- One or more industry-specific professional certifications (EPA, HVAC, CPO, or similar).
- Service orientation and basic computer skills.
- 2+ years of experience as an apartment turn technician, maintenance technician, make-ready technician, or work order technician (highly desirable).
- Basic understanding of written and verbal English.

Pay
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00 per hour. All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call. Additional hourly pay is provided for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications.
