Lead Service Technician (Arlo)

Responsibilities

• Assist in the completion of make ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care, ensure pool is in proper chemical balance, and area is free of safety concerns.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and correct the hazard or inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
• Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service and service team members; be readily available to go to the property if needed and in uniform/badge.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
• Train and mentor other Service Technicians and Facilities Technicians.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge in the following areas: Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA-related standards.
• One or more industry-specific professional certifications (EPA, HVAC, CPO, or similar).
• Service orientation and basic computer skills.
• 2 or more years of experience working as an apartment turn technician, maintenance technician, make-ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

Pay

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $26.00/hour. All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call. Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications.
