Lead Server
About the role
We are seeking a Lead Server to provide pleasurable dining experiences by ensuring professional, timely, food and beverage service to residents, family members, guests, and/or staff according to established dining standards. Assist Restaurant Management in overseeing all aspects of dining service operation and sanitation.
Responsibilities
- Assists restaurant management, oversees dining staff and operations to ensure that standards are being met and resident satisfaction is achieved.
- Assures accuracy of food orders and serves food and beverages in a safe, sanitary, timely manner.
- Inspects dining areas and workstations prior to and following each meal period to ensure that server and utility duties are completed to provide a clean, sanitary and safe working environment according to Mather Standards.
- Completes related tasks and side work as assigned. Checks out servers and server assistants to ensure all end of shift duties are completed prior to staff leaving.
- Consistently communicates resident and customer concerns to assistant management and/or management.
- Affords assistance in maintaining and achieving departmental sanitation standards and goals.
- Maintains a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Performs server duties, including greeting tables, taking and placing accurate orders to the kitchen, suggesting food and beverage offerings, and closing checks in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Effective interaction and communication skills; team player
- Prior service experience in dining environment
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and abilities to deliver consistent, quality food and beverage service.
- Minimum 3 years of prior serving experience
- English language proficiency
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license

Pay
The hourly base wage range provided is a good faith estimate of what Mather reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting. The actual hourly rate offered will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, certifications, years of experience, geographic location, and current market conditions.
Schedule
This position is part-time; weeknight, weekend, and holiday availability required.
