Lead Security Officer - Security

About the role

The Security Sergeant plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff within the hospital environment. With direct oversight of an assigned team of security officers, the Sergeant works under the supervision of the Security Supervisor and reports to the Security Manager. Responsibilities include maintaining a balanced flow of work within the department, responding to calls for service, and enforcing hospital and department policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee an assigned team of security officers.
• Maintain a balanced flow of work within the security department.
• Respond to calls for service.
• Enforce hospital and department policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Provider BLS - American Heart Association (within 30 days of hire).
• Upon request: Driving may be necessary; compliance with all state laws and requirements for driving, including providing proof of driver license and auto insurance.
• 3 years of current experience as a Providence Southwest Region Security Officer.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree.
• Preferred: 1 year of previous law enforcement or military training.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $26.79 - $40.99 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

Full time, variable shift.
