Lead Security Officer

About the role

The Lead Security Officer will be responsible for overseeing all security operations within the organization, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and implementing security protocols to protect company assets and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily security operations including surveillance, access control, and emergency response procedures.
• Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with IT teams to enhance cybersecurity measures and protect against cyber threats.
• Train and mentor security staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
• Respond to security incidents and emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement and other external agencies as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in security management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., criminal justice, information technology, business administration).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a security-related field, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Proven ability to manage and lead a team of security professionals.
• Experience with security software and systems, including access control and surveillance technologies.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing corporate security.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and external partners.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
