Lead Security Officer

Job Summary

Join our team as a weekend shift, full-time, Lead Security Officer in Tulsa, OK.

About the Role

As the Security Lead, you will provide frontline leadership and operational oversight for daily security functions at Hillcrest Hospital South, a full-service 180-bed facility in south Tulsa. You will support regulatory compliance with Joint Commission standards and NFPA 99 requirements related to security management, life safety, and incident reporting. You will serve as the shift lead, primary point of contact during assigned shifts, and assist with training, performance monitoring, and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline leadership and operational oversight for daily security functions to ensure a safe, secure, and compliant environment for patients, visitors, staff, and property.
• Support regulatory compliance with Joint Commission standards and NFPA 99 requirements related to security management, life safety, and incident reporting.
• Serve as the shift lead, primary point of contact during assigned shifts.
• Assist with training, performance monitoring, and incident management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid CLEET Armed Security Officer
• Valid Driver’s License
• IAHSS Basic level (within 6 months of hire)
• BLS (within 60 days of hire)
• CPI (within 90 days of hire)
• Maintain annual firearm and handcuffing certification
• OC gel spray certification

Preferred Requirements

• 1 year of security experience
• Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with patients, visitors, staff, contractors, governmental agencies, and vendors
• Ability to confront adverse and potential hostile situations and resolve tactfully and safely
• Skill and ability to make quick decisions and apply safety and security knowledge in emergency situations
