Lead Scientist

About the role

The Lead Scientist will be responsible for driving scientific innovation and development within the portfolio company, Halo Materials. This individual will lead research projects, mentor junior scientists, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance the company's technological capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Drive scientific innovation and development in the field of materials science
• Lead and mentor a team of scientists in research and development projects
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to integrate scientific findings into product solutions
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the company through scientific insights and innovation
• Write and publish scientific papers and reports

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field
• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience
• Proven track record of successful scientific leadership and project management
• Experience in materials synthesis, characterization, and testing
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
