Lead School Age Teacher

About the role

Foothills Child Development Center is a licensed childcare center seeking a Lead Teacher to support the following age groups: School Age.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Ability to pass all background checks
• Associate or bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine
• Use our parent communication app efficiently
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom
• Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child
• Conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 9:30 am – 6:30 pm

Pay

$15 – $17 per hour, based on education and experience
