Job Description
We are looking for a diligent Lead Project Scheduler to join our team. Responsibilities will include development, maintenance, and analysis of project schedules. The role of a Lead Project Scheduler is to ensure that all stages of the construction process are accurately planned and executed in a timely manner. This role can sit out of Columbus, OH, Cleveland, OH, or St. Louis, MO. If sitting out of an Ohio location, there will be an expectation to travel to St. Louis once a month.
Responsibilities
- Development, maintenance, and analysis of project schedules
- Supporting the project management team, including self-performed and subcontractor scopes of work
- Create high-level master schedules for projects ranging in size and complexity
- Independently or with a project team, work on schedules from summary level to detailed activity/resource loaded
- Work with mixed levels of operations, clients, designers, and trade partners to build out master schedules, provide critical schedule analysis, and suggest adjustments to improve schedule outcomes
- Ensure project schedules conform to contract requirements and specifications
- Participate in estimating and project meetings, providing scheduling input, recommendations, and value engineering advice
- Prepare and present project schedules and narratives to clients and stakeholders
- Identify and manage potential risks and develop contingency plans to address them
- Perform Time Impact Analysis (TIA)
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration preferred or experience in lieu of degree
- 8+ years of experience in Project Scheduling, preferably in heavy civil and heavy industrial construction projects
- Proficiency in Oracle Primavera Cloud and/or Primavera P6
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience performing critical path, earned value, and schedule impact analysis is preferred
- Ability to work in concert with estimators, project team-members, subcontractors, engineers, contracting partners, and clients
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects concurrently
