Job Purpose

Responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, controlling engineering work, managing SCADA technical/engineering functions, and related contractual aspects of projects. Ensure technical compliance with customer and project requirements, YMA QMS requirements, and project scope. Manage and mentor a team of engineers to achieve high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Lead a team of engineers, providing technical direction and solutions to meet project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Project Management Office standards and industry practices, meeting customer requirements.
  • Maintain high productivity and optimize resource utilization through efficient engineering methods.
  • Regularly review projects with the team and project managers, ensuring adherence to work hours and productivity programs.
  • Review project contracts, technical specifications, and customer requirements, providing guidance to the project team.
  • Ensure full compliance with YMA QMS requirements.
  • Drive lessons learned, knowledge management, and productivity improvements.
  • Provide engineering scope status reports to the Department Manager/Project Manager.
  • Ensure complete system engineering, documentation, FAT/IFAT, start-up, and successful commissioning at the site.
  • Accountable for successful technical delivery and developing customer relationships.

Qualification And Experience

  • A Degree in Engineering Field, preferably in Instrumentation & Control or Electronics or Electrical.
  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in Instrumentation and control Systems.

Competencies

  • SCADA domain expertise for Oil/Gas, Pipeline & Utilities.
  • Telemetry & PLC Systems programming & troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge on TCP/IP, Serial, Modbus, DNP3, HART, OPC2.0, Foundation Field bus protocol etc.
  • Working knowledge on various transmitters, control valves, temp/pressure/flow measuring devices, positioner, UV/Heat/Gas/Flame sensors, isolators, barriers, multiplexers, etc.
  • Working knowledge on Fiber Optic/Wireless/GSM /GPRS/UHF/CDMA communication.
  • Possess strong leadership and negotiation skills.
  • Team player.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strict compliance with the company / organization rules.

Skills

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of control & safety systems and related applications.
  • Knowledge of IT platforms and applications.
