Lead SCADA Electrical Engineer

The Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking a Lead SCADA Engineer for the Automation, Integration, and System Protection (AISP) Department. The role involves designing, programming, installing, and testing automation systems, developing custom applications, and maintaining client relationships.

What You'll Do

• Create SCADA point lists, RTU programs, and HMI interfaces
• Program, install, troubleshoot, and test RTUs, PACs, and HMIs for renewable and power utility clients
• Develop complete design packages for site networks and SCADA communication architectures compliant with client and regulatory requirements
• Maintain positive client relationships through frequent interaction
• Troubleshoot using tools like Putty and Wireshark
• Use technologies such as SEL-RTAC, Novatech Orion, Inkscape, and Ignition

What We Expect From You

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with an ABET-accredited program or equivalent
• Professional Engineering (PE) license required
• 7-9+ years of relevant experience
• Proficiency and working knowledge of communication protocols and network design
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
• Ability to develop and implement engineering plans and specifications
• Experience with efficiency engineering and quality assurance
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one before starting
• Authorization to work in the US permanently

Target Base Compensation Range

The target base compensation range for this role is $120,800-$163,500. Factors such as job-specific skills, education, training, job location, and years of experience will be considered to determine your actual salary.
