Lead SAP MM/WM Consultant role focused on delivering best-fit technical solutions while adhering to client and Infosys development standards. Responsibilities include knowledge transfer, value-adding consulting, and enabling clients to meet evolving global needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution (or three years of progressive IT experience per year of education).
- At least 7 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Role is limited to “U.S. persons” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees).
- Position may require travel to project/client locations.
Responsibilities
- Engage with business/functional teams to provide technical solutions aligned with Infosys and client standards.
- Support knowledge transfer to deliver value-adding consulting solutions.
- End-to-end implementation of SAP MM with deep expertise in:
- Master data (Materials, BOM, Routing, work centers, production tools, Variant configuration).
- Planning & Forecasting (MRP).
- Procurement processes (Standard, Remanufacturing, Rebuild, Foundry, Repetitive, Kanban, Material costing, Inventory, Capacity planning).
- MES integration.
- Production order management (availability checks, batch determination, confirmation, WIP processing, reporting, settlement).
- Integration with SAP SD, PP, FICO (Product costing).
- Standup & Health Check:
- Review overnight MM/WM batch jobs (success, runtime, exceptions).
- Triage tickets (missing IDocs, data mismatches, shared component conflicts, substitution handling, rework flows).
- Align with FICO, OTC, PPQM, Ariba Procurement, and ABAP/Fiori teams on priorities.
- Design/Config & Impact Analysis:
- Adjust configuration settings and analyze workflow impact.
- Draft/update functional specs for enhancements.
- Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Work with procurement on shared components and priority decisions.
- Validate end-to-end test cases for break fixes or enhancements.
- Testing, Data Validation & Job Tuning:
- Re-run jobs for scenario validation; verify relationships in Fiori/GUI reports.
- Check master data completeness.
- Tune job variants/scope to improve runtime and stability.
- Production Support & Root-Cause Analysis (RCA):
- Troubleshoot issues (data vs. config vs. job sequencing).
- Provide quick mitigations (e.g., manual allocation override) and permanent fixes (config, enhancements, training).
- Stakeholder Updates & Documentation:
- Demo outcomes and explain decisions (e.g., allocation shifts).
- Update runbooks, solution design docs, test evidence, and knowledge base entries for recurring issues.
- Plan next steps for defects, enhancements, and upcoming releases.
- Work involves extended periods at a computer and communication via telephone, email, or in-person.

- Experience in a global delivery environment.
Pay
- CA, WA, NY, CO, MD, IL, MN, NJ: $94,000 to $131,600 annually.
- Washington, DC: $85,700 to $124,600 annually.
