Responsibilities
- Prepare estimates for contracts and proposals.
- Follow-up on sales leads and lists, both self-generated and via other sources.
- Manage multiple, ongoing opportunities particularly focusing on selling service agreements and new equipment.
- Sell, renew and expand renewable service agreements, to both new and existing customers.
- Complete all paperwork in a timely and accurate manner on all leads.
- Demonstrate technical expertise and maintain a high level of credibility.
- Recommend solutions and link customer objectives to total value solution and competitive advantage.
- Positively and credibly influence service strategies with homeowners.
- Effectively write and present proposals.
- Negotiate value and address resistance to close the sale.
Qualifications
- 3 years of sales experience.
- GED or High School Diploma required.
- Prior success in the industry with knowledge of industry and local market.
- Knowledge of HVAC field concepts, practices, best practices, procedures, tools, and equipment.
- Strong relationship building skills, customer focused and disciplined.
- Strong needs-based sales skills and a passion for excellence.
- Previous experience with in-home service agreement sales and estimating.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Word and Excel.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in-office and on weekends as needed.
- Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- May be required to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time.
- Involves extended periods of looking at a computer monitor.
- Must be able to see, hear, talk, and type.
