LEAD SAFETY SECURITY OFFICER

Job Summary

The Lead Safety Security Officer will provide safety and security for KidsPeace properties, associates, clients, and visitors. They will remain in ratio, manage coverage/schedule, act as a point of contact for first responders, and complete required drills, logs, and safety inspections.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly assigned inspections and drills while providing a safe and secure working environment
• Utilize effective interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills while demonstrating courtesy and patience
• Perform routine activities with minimal supervision, work with interruptions, change priorities, provide additional assistance when needed, and assist in the training of new hires in the department
• Lead Security will receive additional training to become an instructor in SCM and Ukeru
• Comply with all appropriate corporate and departmental policies and procedures
• Participate in continuing education training and in-services when applicable and maintain all departmental and corporate certifications
• Perform the KidsPeace restraint methodology as necessary and when ordered by a licensed professional
• Complete yearly performance evaluations for Security Officers
• Perform other duties as assigned by management/leadership
• Maintain knowledge of Safety Security Department procedures and equipment

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required
• Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice or other applicable field preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Prior Safety Security Experience With Work Record Preferred
• Valid, current driver's license in the state of the work location is required
• Able to receive and give detailed information through verbal and written communication
• Proficient in the English language
• Able to be trained and fully perform and maintain current corporate and departmental certifications such as, but not limited to, restraint methodology, CPR, First Aid, etc.
