Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the design process of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems using Revit and other BIM software.
- Develop and manage Revit models for MEP design and coordination.
- Cook up with project managers, engineers, designers, and other team members to ensure design consistency and integrity.
- Use advanced design software to create detailed 2D or 3D designs.
- Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
- Create detailed schematics for HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
- Participate in design reviews to evaluate design concepts and make corrections to drawings as requested by project leaders.
- Ensure all designs adhere to existing industry and company standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Revit design with a focus on MEP systems.
- Proficient in Revit and other BIM software.
- Strong knowledge and experience in piping design, HVAC system design, or similar.
- Excellent technical drawing skills and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and processes.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and codes.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with other design software like AutoCAD, Navisworks, or SolidWorks would be advantageous.
