Lead Residential Counselor (Mental Health Services)

About the role

The ACCS Lead Residential Counselor provides direct service to adults with mental health conditions in a GLE/SIE residential setting. The role includes helping persons served in the residences to overcome barriers to, and prepare for, living independently. The Lead Residential Counselor implements treatment plan support interventions as coached and supported by Team LPHA Clinician, assumes administrative officer roles, and liaises with families as needed.

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plan support interventions as coached and supported by Team LPHA Clinician.
• Assumes administrative officer roles in the program to support the Program Director in performance of their duties and responsibilities.
• Liaisons with families as needed.
• Serves as a crisis intervention provider.
• Supports persons served in obtaining and understanding medical and psychiatric care as needed.
• Administers medications following Medication Administration Program (MAP) policies and procedures.
• Provides physical site maintenance.
• Ensures a safe, comfortable, and clean environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• An associate's degree in a human service discipline is preferred.
• One year as a residential counselor in a setting working with persons served facing mental health challenges is preferred.
• One to two years of job-specific experience in the human services field is preferred.
• Preference given to bilingual/bicultural applicants and applicants with lived experience of psychiatric conditions.
• Ability to make independent judgments and decisions.
• Knowledge of personal computer applications and equipment.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a current, valid, US drivers' license for at least 6 months.
• All candidates must be able to successfully pass a CORI, reference, multi-state background and driving record check.

Pay

USD $24.00 - USD $24.00 /Hr.
