Lead Renewables Estimator

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review all estimates, including lump sum, unit rate, cost plus, and conceptual estimates.
• Review the design scope and develop quantities.
• Perform productivity analysis of estimates, prepare contingency, escalation, and reconciliations for estimates.
• Perform comparisons of scope, quantities, and cost data between projects.
• Prepare management presentations and develop the estimate basis.
• Update and maintain historical cost data.
• Review designs and specifications for cost effectiveness and suggest alternatives where appropriate.
• Support continuous improvement efforts and change management.

Pre-Construction Activities

• Perform Scope Review focusing on:
  • Project Objectives
  • Deliverables
  • Overall Project Requirements
• Perform Site Investigation analysis.
• Assist the Pre-Construction/Estimating team in developing preliminary Work Packages.
• During the Development of Project Work Packages, perform a risk assessment and participate in mitigation strategy discussions.
• Participate in Site Logistic conversations and provide input as to what effect this may have on Construction.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience, including some estimating experience.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• BS or MS graduate in Construction Management or related field.
• Field experience.
• Project experience.
• Cost control and scheduling exposure.
