About the role

The Lead Remodeling Carpenter oversees project planning, client relations on-site, managing team members, coordinating with trade partners, and guiding projects from demolition to finish. This role includes ongoing training and education to help you advance in the remodeling trade.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate remodeling projects from start to finish.
• Read and interpret blueprints and plans.
• Perform skilled carpentry work including framing, trim work, cabinetry installation, and more.
• Manage and mentor a team of carpenters and laborers.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Manage subcontractors, oversee their tasks, and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in residential remodeling.
• Background in framing, finish carpentry, drywall finishing, and general knowledge of specialized trade work.
• Ability to lay out projects off plans and specs, troubleshoot problems, and evaluate execution options.
• Experience supervising a team of subcontractors and production workers.
• Proficiency in customer service and effective communication.
• Reliable, organized, and mechanically inclined.
• Ability to train and mentor fellow carpenters.
• Comfortable using mobile devices for work-related tasks.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime and possess reliable transportation.
• Capacity to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to manipulate objects of up to 80 lbs for 50 feet.
• Must provide a complete set of hand tools.

Pay

$36.00 - $40.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
