Lead Registered Veterinary Technician
About the role
Jenks Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Lead Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for skilled technicians eager to fully utilize their surgical and anesthesia expertise while making a meaningful impact on patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.
- Avoid unnecessary stress on patients and team members by anticipating the needs of the veterinary team and patients, ensuring an efficient surgical and procedural workflow.
- Communicate with clients to review treatment plans, answer questions, and provide discharge instructions with empathy and clarity.
Requirements
- 2+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting.
- Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Oklahoma.
- Medication: oral and topical administration.
- Sample Collection: venipuncture, and IV catheter placement.
- Diagnostics: Microscope evaluation experience, not required.
- Imaging: Accurate positioning for radiographs and ultrasound procedures.
- Client Communication: Confident in client education and explaining treatment plans with clarity and compassion.
Qualifications
- Detail-oriented technicians who are passionate about anesthesia.
- Ready to work at the top of their license in a supportive, team-focused environment.
Skills
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Knowledge of surgical and procedural workflows.
- Proficiency in medication administration and sample collection techniques.
- Experience with diagnostic imaging and client communication skills.

Pay
Compensation: $22-$26 per hour, for each hour worked*
Bonus package: $2000*
Schedule
This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Saturday. Saturday shifts are on rotation with a 7:30 AM- 12:00 PM shift.
