About the role

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Lead Respiratory Therapist for their Respiratory Department. The ideal candidate will embrace the hospital's mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and oversee daily operations efficiently.
  • Distribute the shift assignments.
  • Ensure staff follows proper policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with patients, families, coworkers, and appropriate disciplines.
  • Round on assigned staff members quarterly.
  • Manage resources, including staffing and equipment.
  • Execute all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved respiratory program.
  • Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Able to handle multi-tasking.
  • Proficient in basic PC skills like Windows and Excel.
  • At least 3 years of Level III NICU experience.
  • Minimum formal education required: Associate degree, preferred: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory/management experience required.
  • Will obtain an advanced certification within 1 year of hire.
  • NRP certifications required.
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Requirements

  • Required to work every third weekend.
  • Follows company holiday calendar.
  • On-call occasionally.

Pay

$37.17 - $55.76 per hour

Schedule

Full-time, 36 hours per week, Day shift, Monday through Friday, 7 AM – 7:30 PM.
