What You'll Do
- Provide application consulting, education, and support to the Belimo sales teams and customers for new technical applications, while also researching industry trends and implications with a strategic focus on the Data Center market.
- Manage, lead, and inspire Regional Applications Consultants who are direct reports.
- Assume a lead role in large, complex project coordination to ensure Belimo’s product line is fully leveraged and positioned in design, specifications, and ultimately procurement.
- Connect contracting projects and specifications for equipment manufacturers with the sales team, including Data Center, OEM, and Vertical market teams and contractors, to drive incremental growth.
- Support sales efforts by cultivating strong relationships with end users and consulting engineering customers, providing product training, information, recommendations, and troubleshooting issues.
- Identify potential new product applications and communicate concepts to Sales Team, Product Management, and Engineering to develop new business.
- Utilize applications expertise to assist sales forces in the development of new business utilizing “pull through” sales efforts for the purpose of acquiring specifications and demand for our products.
- Keep informed of new consulting engineering and end user projects and provide leads to sales teams.
- Train Consulting engineers, owners, customers, and others in person or virtually.
- Write and influence specifications for consulting engineers and end users.
- Provide applications excellence to drive and support all Belimo Products.
- Effectively utilize sales tools including MS Dynamics.
- Manage, lead, and inspire team including annual reviews.
- Provide leadership to direct reports and develop goals and objectives.
- Work on committees and special projects as requested.
Who You Are
- 7-10 Years of proven track record in consulting engineering, data center design/operations, or applicable experience in the HVAC or related technical field.
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field preferred.
- People management experience preferred.
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational, inter-personal, and negotiation skills are required.
- Strong communication and presentation skills are a must.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and other basic computer skills.
