Lead Radiation Therapist

About the role

The Lead Radiation Therapist is a role model in demonstrating outstanding clinical assessment, interpretive and treatment delivery skills; and shares these skills with others to ensure the competency of the team and optimal patient outcomes. This position provides direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate essential communication to the Regional Oncology Services Director and Radiation Oncology Manager.
• Be accountable to the Physicist and Physician regarding clinical issues.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited program in radiation therapy.
• Registration and licensure as required.
• Experience in radiation therapy, treatment, and supervision.

Skills

• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal relationships that enhance communication, promote conflict resolution, and facilitate staff development.
• Skills and knowledge to sustain and evaluate clinical completion in caring for specific age and type of patient population served.
