About the role
This role serves as a Lead R&D Engineer/Scientist in the RF/Radar team in Advanced Tech, driving operational excellence through disciplined execution, fiscal accountability, and strategic value-driven mindset.
Responsibilities
- Work with Project Stakeholders and business leadership to ensure successful project execution.
- Perform and review the basic design & detailed engineering while guiding the engineering team in issuance of the engineering deliverables.
- Prepare Functional Design Specifications.
- Auxiliary Engineers in identification of design changes and submission to clients for variation orders.
- Initiate utilization of best engineering practices, training, tools and methodologies.
- Prepare & compile material requisition lists and material specifications for procurement.
- Prepare and update the as-built documentation timely.
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical/Electronic, Information Technology, Communication/Network) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Must have capability of leading a project team of engineers, often multi-disciplines and handling more than one project at one time.
- Must have 5+ years of relevant experience in project execution and system engineering works preferably in the aerospace or defense industries.
- Aerospace or Defense research experience is preferred.
- Possess experiences and knowledge on fundamental RF, EW, antenna design, Aviation or Defense Datalink communications, phased arrays, Microwave, RF link budget, Radio, or Satellite.
- Lead project proposals, ensuring complete and accurate project setup.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Monitor progress and proactively intervene to resolve risks or bottlenecks.
- Manage scope changes and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
- Track budgets and ensure work remains aligned to approved scope; Support accountability by ensuring contributors charge time appropriately; Monitor KPIs such as speed-to-delivery and project cycle time; Provide regular budget and status reports to clients; Ensure timely and accurate project closure and documentation.
- Collaborate and communicate with clients and research teams; Schedule and facilitate meetings; Capture meeting notes, decisions, and action items; Maintain alignment between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership; Identify opportunities for improved workflow and operational consistency.

Pay
The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000- 175,000.
