Lead Quality Specialist

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Quality Specialist to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will oversee quality management systems and ensure disciplined execution across simulation-based products in a highly regulated, customer-facing environment. You will partner with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and auditors to strengthen compliance, improve processes, and support reliable delivery outcomes. The position combines hands-on quality leadership with cross-functional coordination and continuous improvement.

Location: Remote (US-based candidates only; no visa sponsorship available).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve QMS policies, procedures, and records for simulation products.
• Plan and conduct risk-based audits and support ISO 9001:2015 certification assessments.
• Incorporate contractual and regulatory requirements into quality planning.
• Establish measurable quality objectives and report performance to leadership.
• Serve as primary quality liaison for customer inquiries and corrective actions.
• Define quality expectations for subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance.
• Lead nonconformance and corrective action management processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in quality management systems.
• Experience in simulation, aerospace, defense, or complex hardware/software products.
• Experience serving as a primary quality contact for customers and supporting external certification audits.
• ISO 9001 lead auditor training or certification, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, or a related quality credential.

Pay

$100,000 – $120,000 annually.
