Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on QA Lead Engineer to drive quality strategy and test automation across web, mobile, API, and integrated digital platforms. This role will lead quality initiatives, improve regression readiness, oversee offshore/vendor QA teams, and ensure high-confidence production releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute QA strategy for web, mobile, API, integration, regression, and release testing.
- Build and maintain automated test coverage across end-to-end customer journeys.
- Lead QA planning for sprints, releases, hotfixes, and high-risk initiatives.
- Review test cases, automation scripts, defects, and release validation results.
- Drive quality standards, defect management, reporting, and release readiness.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for offshore and vendor QA teams.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and DevOps teams to ensure reliable delivery.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of QA, test automation, or quality engineering experience.
- 3+ years leading QA strategy, automation delivery, or QA teams.
- Strong experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, WDIO, Postman, REST Assured, or Jest.
- Experience testing customer-facing digital platforms with complex integrations.
- Strong knowledge of API, integration, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum delivery.
- Experience working with offshore or distributed QA teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with e-commerce, digital ordering, retail, loyalty, payments, or transactional platforms.
- Experience testing React, React Native, GraphQL, or microservices-based applications.
- Experience with performance, accessibility, and visual regression testing.
- Familiarity with observability and quality reporting tools such as Jira, Zephyr, Xray, TestRail, Datadog, New Relic, or Splunk.
- Experience using AI-assisted QA or test generation tools.
