Job Description Lead Project Engineer As an auxiliary power unit (APU) Lead Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, foster collaboration and ensuring effective project coordination. You will report directly to our Sr. Program Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the successful execution and delivery of engineering projects, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and manage APU development projects from initiation to completionDefine project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholdersDevelop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocationCoordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure project successMonitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standardsEnsure an airtight change management processIdentify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project deliveryProvide technical guidance and support to project team membersPrepare and present project status reports to stakeholders both internal and external Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering 8+ years of experience in project engineering or related rolesProven track record of successfully delivering engineering projects on time and within budgetStrong leadership and project management skills with expertise in risk management and problem-solvingStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detailPassion for innovation and continuous learning WE VALUE Master’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering Gas turbine engine development, testing and analysis experienceGas turbine engine aircraft installation development, testing and analysis experienceModel based system engineering experience including requirements management in DOORS Next U.s.
