Your work as a Lead Program Therapist will focus on delivering social services that help patients meet their bio-psychosocial needs and access therapeutic treatment skills to achieve optimal emotional health. You’ll provide consultation, teaching, specialized clinical social work, crisis intervention, short- and long-term family therapy, and information and referrals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual, couples, and family counseling with an emphasis on engagement, collaboration, and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with community agencies for patient assessment and service coordination.
- Evaluate and document the effectiveness of interventions and patient responses.
- Assess patients’ psychosocial, educational, and behavioral functioning; document updates.
- Integrate age-specific considerations into treatment planning.
- Respond promptly to social work service requests.
- Support the effective functioning of the patient’s program and meet social work needs.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings.
- Define specific, measurable goals and interventions.
- Adhere to care standards for diverse patient populations.
- Apply appropriate interventions in psychiatric emergencies.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a clinical-related mental health field.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; strong clinical assessment skills preferred.
- Illinois State license in social work or a clinical-related mental health field, or ability to obtain license within six months of employment.
- May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.

Pay
Full-time salary range: $65,000 – $75,000, plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus.
Schedule
Tuesday – Saturday, 8-hour shifts (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.).
