Responsibilities
- Participate in the full project cycle from design phase through construction close-out
- Research, design, and develop mechanical systems including air distribution, hydronic, and plumbing systems
- Design and integrate automatic temperature control sequences into building designs
- Review installation, materials, and construction specifications
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project budgets
- Manage project schedules and select major equipment
- Perform construction administration and quality control reviews
- Interface with clients and attend project meetings
- Exercise ethical decision-making and comply with regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field
- 7-10 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering
- Experience with HVAC systems and automatic temperature controls for commercial systems
- Excellent communication and engineering skills
- Proven track record of workplace safety and adherence to WSP policies
- Ability to work flexible schedules and occasional travel
- P.E. license required
Qualifications
- Hands-on knowledge and experience with Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience in complex sectors such as healthcare and life sciences
