Lead Professional, Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full project cycle from design phase through construction close-out
• Research, design, and develop mechanical systems including air distribution, hydronic, and plumbing systems
• Design and integrate automatic temperature control sequences into building designs
• Review installation, materials, and construction specifications
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project budgets
• Manage project schedules and select major equipment
• Perform construction administration and quality control reviews
• Interface with clients and attend project meetings
• Exercise ethical decision-making and comply with regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field
• 7-10 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering
• Experience with HVAC systems and automatic temperature controls for commercial systems
• Excellent communication and engineering skills
• Proven track record of workplace safety and adherence to WSP policies
• Ability to work flexible schedules and occasional travel
• P.E. license required

Qualifications

• Hands-on knowledge and experience with Revit and AutoCAD
• Experience in complex sectors such as healthcare and life sciences
