ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Covers for the Production Supervisor in their absence.
  • Coordinates production, distribution, and warehousing activities.
  • Implements plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.
  • Plans production operations, establishes priorities, and sequences for processing products.
  • Revises production schedules and priorities based on equipment failures or operational issues.
  • Works closely with the Production Supervisor to review product quality and modify production and inventory control programs.
  • Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimal utilization.
  • Observes workers to ensure compliance with production standards.
  • Responsible for routine consolidation of operational and production data.
  • Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for production activities.
  • Confers with management to resolve maintenance problems and recommend improvements to operations and machine/equipment conditions.
  • Communicates safety standards to employees to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensures adherence to safety standards and company policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school graduate or equivalent, with 2 years of college and related work experience in operational management.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents related to safety, operations, and maintenance.
  • Ability to write routine reports and provide clear instructions.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and follow instructions.
  • Ability to calculate basic financial information and understand budgetary requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and utilize initiative and creativity.
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and maneuver wheeled containers weighing up to 300 lbs.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks in a variety of weather conditions and heat.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Exposure to outside weather conditions and heat.
  • Moderate noise levels in the work environment.
  • Regular attendance required, core hours range from 8:30 am – 7:30 pm, seven days a week, with various work schedule shifts.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
  • No travel required.
