Lead Production Technician

Responsibilities

• Captures shift activities to meet production schedule and conducts shift rounds.
• Fosters a collaborative team environment and leads start-of-shift meetings.
• Provides technical/process expertise and resolves quality issues.
• Trains new team members and establishes performance metrics.
• Maintains compliance with environmental, safety, and health standards.
• Coordinates maintenance and other service requests.
• Ensures alignment between startup/shutdown tasks and plant operations.
• Engages in sales and operations planning and provides input.
• Conducts root cause analysis and implements corrective actions.
• Manages inventory levels and addresses equipment/process issues.
• Acts as the primary point of contact for production-related emergencies.
• Participates in emergency response teams and wears protective gear.
• Develops and implements new ideas and process improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of experience in a chemical process operations environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with basic computer software.
• Incident Commander Training – ICS200 minimum.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and planning abilities.
• Understanding of IMS and Plant Gas Monitoring system.
• Knowledge of plant-specific cylinder handling programs.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders.
• Passing medical tests for respiratory protection and physical fitness.
