Lead Process Designer
About the role
We are seeking a Lead Process Designer to join Stantec’s Advanced Manufacturing team. This role will be responsible for leading and managing multidisciplinary projects and technical staff across various process-related initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Subject Matter expertise in the following areas: process systems, process-mechanical, Bulk Gas delivery and PSSS (VHP/Gas/Chemical), Industrial Waste lift, collection and treatment, and UPW (make-up, primary, and polish loop) systems
- Project manage from kickoff to programming, schematic design, and construction administration up to project close-out
- Directly support our clients by providing technical expertise in the execution of complicated, multi-discipline, multi-stakeholder, and fast track projects
- Aid in managing the Process Engineering staff
- Generate and track project delivery schedule
- Track budgets throughout the design
- Perform analysis and design of advanced manufacturing buildings/projects
- Facilitate the design of engineering plans from preliminary through construction phases
- Technical writing for engineering studies, Basis of Design documents, and narratives for non-technical audience explaining engineering concepts to facilitate decision-making
- Review and produce plans and specifications for compliance with industry codes, standards, and guidelines
- Communicate and coordinate with clients, multi-discipline teams, contractors and government agency personnel
- Ability to perform design verification site walks and construction field validation
- Travel required, up to 10%
- Ability to pass a security clearance
- Willingness to work on the client site
Qualifications
- Familiar with Revit, AutoCAD, NavisWorks, Pipe-Flo, Caesar or Autopipe pipe stress software, Trane Trace, Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in process and chemical design within the semiconductor, oil and gas, petrochemical, or bio/pharmaceutical industries
- 2-5 years of experience as the primary contact with multiple clients as a project manager or lead
Skills
Familiar with Revit, AutoCAD, NavisWorks, Pipe-Flo, Caesar or Autopipe pipe stress software, Trane Trace, Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office applications; Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
