Lead/Principal, Manufacturing Industry Solution Engineer
About the role
The Industry Solution Engineer plays a critical part in building and scaling industry-specific solution assets across the Manufacturing, Automotive, and Energy & Utilities verticals. This role requires a strong technical foundation in AI, building demos, and expertise that can be leveraged by other Salesforce Solution Engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead industry solution initiatives by partnering with internal working groups to build demo assets, content hubs, and customer videos.
- Enable our Solution Engineers and field teams by conducting internal enablement, demos, and training sessions to help others leverage pre-built industry assets and content.
- Be the go-to expert on what's available and how to use it to win.
- Partner with Product, Industry, the COE, and Go-To-Market teams to enhance our demo environments and ensure our solutions evolve based on real customer feedback and emerging industry trends.
- Support strategic customer engagements by joining key pursuits as an industry subject matter expert to support discovery, demo strategy, and overall deal positioning.
- Establish a feedback and innovation loop by capturing customer success stories, win/loss insights, and field input to inform ongoing product improvements and sales strategy.
- Develop and deliver compelling solution visions, roadmaps, and tailored demonstrations to showcase the immediate and long-term value of Salesforce through industry-proven use cases.
- Lead AI tooling adoption and enablement by being at the forefront of AI by evaluating and leveraging new tools to streamline productivity and facilitate how SEs do the job today.
- Support high-impact customer events by key involvement in driving content and strategy for Dreamforce sessions, product innovation hubs, and customer summits.

Strong problem-solving skills and a curiosity to understand the "why" behind challenges and solutions. Passion for innovation and a drive to keep learning and improving.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in pre-sales, solution engineering, or Salesforce implementation.
- Background in working with or within any of the following industries: Manufacturing, Automotive, Energy & Utilities, or Retail & Consumer Goods (preferred but not required).
- Experience building solution assets or participating in scale initiatives.
- Familiarity with the Salesforce tech stack, including the industry clouds and Agentforce.
- Obtained Salesforce certifications.
- Experience with complex solution selling and/or ROI-based selling strategies.
- Successful project leadership in a highly matrixed organization to build collaboration and be a multiplier.
- Computer science degree or technical equivalent experience.

Pay
The typical base salary range for this position is $157,640 - $210,910 annually. In California and New York, and select cities in the metropolitan areas of Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington DC, the base pay range for this role in those locations is $173,460 - $231,980 per year.
