Lead Preschool Teacher

About the role

The Goddard School in Springboro is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Lead Teacher to join their team. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children to develop socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
• Implement daily activities that promote children’s developmental growth.
• Engage in educational and play activities that encourage literacy, language, math, social-emotional, and physical development.
• Utilize positive guidance and behavior management techniques to support children's growth and development.
• Provide routine care, meals, diapering, toileting, rest time, and transitions.
• Communicate with parents about their child’s day and progress.
• Create and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Observe and document children's progress and developmental milestones as required.
• Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and center policies.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in childcare or education REQUIRED.
• CDA or higher (or working toward your CDA) PREFERRED.
• A positive, patient, and approachable demeanor.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy and compassion for young children.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, children and families.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. in connection with the handling of children.
• Must pass required background checks and other requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.

Pay

$17-$20 per hour.

Schedule

Compensation includes paid Federal holidays, 2 weeks paid vacation, and winter break school shutdown (12/24-1/1).
