Lead Preschool Teacher

About the role

The Goddard School is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to join our team. This position is responsible for creating a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment, planning and implementing age-appropriate learning experiences, fostering children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, observing and documenting children’s progress, building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, communicating daily with families, maintaining a clean, organized classroom, collaborating with school leadership and fellow teachers, and managing multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate learning experiences using our play-based curriculum.
• Foster children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Observe and document children’s progress.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Communicate daily with families through conversations and classroom communication tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and ensure compliance with licensing and health & safety standards.
• Collaborate with school leadership and fellow teachers to provide the highest quality educational experience.

Requirements

• An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred.
• A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential is preferred.
• One to two years of experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred.
• Completion of state-required pre-service training is required.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills are essential.
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required for child safety and classroom activities.

• Must meet all state licensing and background check requirements.

Pay

Competitive pay based on education and experience.

Schedule

Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends.
