Lead Preschool Teacher
About the role
The Goddard School is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to join our team. This position is responsible for creating a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment, planning and implementing age-appropriate learning experiences, fostering children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, observing and documenting children’s progress, building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, communicating daily with families, maintaining a clean, organized classroom, collaborating with school leadership and fellow teachers, and managing multiple responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Create a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate learning experiences using our play-based curriculum.
- Foster children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Observe and document children’s progress.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Communicate daily with families through conversations and classroom communication tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom and ensure compliance with licensing and health & safety standards.
- Collaborate with school leadership and fellow teachers to provide the highest quality educational experience.
Requirements

- An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred.
- A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential is preferred.
- One to two years of experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred.
- Completion of state-required pre-service training is required.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills are essential.
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required for child safety and classroom activities.

Pay
Competitive pay based on education and experience.
Schedule
Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends.
