Lead Preschool Teacher

About the role

BMH-BJ Preschool is seeking lead teachers for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. We are looking for individuals who are warm, vibrant, flexible, team players, and passionate about being part of our community.

Responsibilities

• Develop a safe, positive learning environment for young learners.
• Create a developmentally appropriate curriculum that incorporates Jewish tradition, culture, values, and Israel.
• Communicate regularly with families through weekly newsletters.
• Engage children in positive interactions and follow health and safety guidelines.
• Supervise children at all times and discuss their development with parents.
• Lift/carry up to 35 pounds, sit on the ground with children, run a short distance, and bend at the waist.
• Be flexible and willing to assist in various areas of the classroom.

Qualifications

• A BS/BA in education or related fields.
• Six semester hours in ECE.
• Knowledge of best practices and preschool educational methods.
• The ability to engage children and earn their trust and attention.
• Maintain a PDIS account.
• Background check required.
