About the role
As a Preschool Lead Teacher, you’ll lead the charge in fostering a joyful, engaging space for infants while collaborating with fellow educators to deliver an age-appropriate curriculum. Your role includes guiding play, ensuring safety, and building strong connections with families through daily updates.
Responsibilities
- Create a nurturing, joyful environment for infants, celebrating milestones and fostering growth.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement an engaging, age-perfect curriculum.
- Share daily updates with parents, highlighting their child’s progress and memorable moments.
- Guide play with developmentally appropriate toys, language, and activities to spark curiosity and learning.
- Design a balanced daily schedule incorporating quiet time, active play, and motor-skill development.
- Embody Cadence’s philosophy to cultivate a positive, growth-filled classroom environment.
- Encourage children’s interests while prioritizing safety and modeling kindness and social skills.
- Plan activities that balance cuddles, outdoor exploration, and motor-skill challenges.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years old.
- Meets all state preschool lead teacher requirements.
- Experience as an infant teacher.
- Flexibility to work during business hours.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or a degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field.
- Previous preschool lead teacher experience (required).
- Classroom management skills (preferred).
