Responsibilities
- Assists Lead Teacher in the development of weekly plans, and implements age appropriate curriculum (lesson plan) to nurture and stimulate all domains of children’s development in their care.
- Provide coverage and classroom support across assigned age groups and classrooms, including infant, toddler, preschool, or school-age programs.
- Auxiliary in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and daily routines under the direction of Lead or Associate Teachers.
- Supervise and engage children in activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment that adheres to licensing and health regulations.
- Support transitions, meals, rest time, and outdoor activities as assigned.
- Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Follow all organizational and licensing policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- 9 ECE required, 3 credit courses in Child Growth & Development for credits total.
- One (1) year prior experience working with children required.
- Ability to communicate with colleagues, children and families, listen well, and work effectively with others.
- Understanding of child development, developmentally appropriate practice and positive behavior intervention and supports.
- Meet minimum State of New Hampshire Child Care Licensing Unit rules for Associate Teachers.
Pay
$22 - $28, based off education and experience
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hour position Monday - Friday with hours expected to primarily be 8:00-4:45, but subject to change based on program needs.
