About the role
Provides leadership, direction and supervision to children 3-5 years of age during large and small group activities.
Provides leadership to supporting staff.
Applies educational curriculum to the classroom.
Fosters positive relationships with all children and families through providing age-appropriate discipline that maintains respect for the child and open communication with families.

Requirements
- Minimum age of 21 years old.
- Current CPR & First Aid Certification.
- Possess a cooperative spirit committed to character development by promoting and demonstrating caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility to staff, lay leaders, YMCA members, program participants and the community.
- Able to lead a classroom and staff.
- Knowledge of licensing requirements and regulations.
- Skilled in organizing and executing age-appropriate activities for children.
- Meet one of the following education requirements:
- Current Early Childhood Professional credential level III version 2.0 as determined by the Colorado Department of Education
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
- B.A. in early childhood education
- B.A. in elementary education
- B.A. in special education
- Colorado Director Qualified
