Requirements
- Minimum 12 completed semester units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development
- Professional experience working with preschool-aged children
- Availability Monday through Thursday during weekday afternoons
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the Fontana Area
- A desire to learn, take initiative, and grow professionally
- Ability to commit to working throughout the school year (August through May), as consistency is essential for the children, families, and schools we serve
About the Role
Soccer Shots Inland Empire East is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and relationship-focused professional to serve as the Lead Preschool Coach for the Fontana Area. This role combines coaching, leadership, relationship-building, and community engagement, giving you the opportunity to positively impact hundreds of children while helping expand one of the nation's leading children's enrichment franchises.
As the Lead Preschool Coach, you'll become the primary Soccer Shots representative for your assigned schools and childcare partners. You'll coach engaging soccer enrichment programs, build lasting relationships with preschool directors, teachers, and families, maintain exceptional program quality, and help introduce Soccer Shots to even more children throughout the Fontana community.
While this position currently begins as a part-time opportunity, our vision is to grow this role into a full-time leadership position as our programs continue expanding throughout the Fontana Area.
Schedule
Programs are primarily scheduled Monday through Thursday during the school day and weekday afternoons/early evenings, with schedules varying based on the needs of our school partners. Additional evening or weekend opportunities may occasionally become available through public programs, camps, community events, training, or special activities.
Because our schools and families rely on consistency, we're looking for someone who values reliability and can make a commitment to supporting our programs throughout the school year (August through May).
About Soccer Shots
Soccer Shots is the nation's premier children's soccer enrichment program, serving children ages 2 through 8 years. Our nationally recognized curriculum combines age-appropriate soccer instruction with character development to help children build confidence, respect, teamwork, perseverance, and a lifelong love of being active. For many children, Soccer Shots is the highlight of their week. Every session is designed to be fun, educational, encouraging, and memorable while helping children develop skills that extend far beyond the soccer field.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Soccer Shots sessions for children ages 2 to 10
- Create fun, age-appropriate experiences using our nationally recognized curriculum
- Foster confidence, respect, teamwork, perseverance, and character development
- Create a safe, welcoming environment where every child feels encouraged and successful
- Oversee Soccer Shots programs throughout the Fontana Area
- Maintain exceptional program quality across assigned locations
- Manage attendance, equipment, scheduling, and daily program operations
- Represent Soccer Shots with professionalism and consistency
- Serve as the primary contact for preschool directors, teachers, and school staff
- Communicate professionally with parents and caregivers
- Build trust through reliability, consistency, and excellent customer service
- Support the development of new school and community partnerships
- Represent Soccer Shots at school visits, community events, and networking opportunities
- Help launch new programs and strengthen existing relationships
- Lead by example through professionalism and accountability
- Support and mentor future coaches
- Take on increasing leadership responsibilities as the organization continues to grow
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 completed semester units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development (required)
- Experience working with preschool-aged children
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Confident communicating professionally with parents, school directors, and teachers through email, phone calls, and text messages while providing outstanding customer service
- Self-motivated, dependable, and committed to excellence
Employment Requirements
- Eligible to work in licensed preschool environments, including:
- DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background Check
- Child Abuse Clearance (if required)
- Current TB Clearance
- Proof of MMR vaccination
- Proof of Tdap vaccination
- Reliable transportation
- Valid California driver's license and proof of insurance
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to actively coach outdoors while standing, jogging, demonstrating activities, and engaging with young children as well as coach indoors in smaller settings
