About the role
The Assistant Prefabrication Shop Manager assists with the day-to-day operations of the prefabrication shop and works to improve its efficiency. Duties include managing tasks assigned to others, coordinating deliveries, overseeing material and tool deliveries, and communicating with project leadership.
Responsibilities
- Manage manpower and coordinate deliveries with Site Supervisors
- Oversee material and tool deliveries
- Communicate means and methods with project leadership
- Maintain the warehouse space, tools, and equipment
- Train others on warehouse functions
- Work with colleagues in a team environment
- Develop content supporting branch/department efforts
- Track documentation and investigate problems
- Learn new skills to bring into the shop
- Perform other tasks necessary to build and grow Preconstruction Services
Requirements
- Full-time production warehouse position
- Work hours based on department needs
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Electrical apprenticeship preferred
- 10+ years experience in electrical industry
- Wide range of electrical construction experience preferred
- Previous experience managing others
Skills
- Positive safety attitude and personal integrity
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team leader
