Lead Plumber, Full Time

Santo Domingo Pueblo has been a central Indian Pueblo in New Mexico since over 400 years. Located between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, the Pueblo employs over 25 different departments with more than 200 employees to serve over 5000 members. Responsibilities
- Responsible for plumbing installations and repairs under direct supervision of the Project and Facilities Director.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Able and willing to give and follow instructions.
- Prepared to travel to clients' homes to complete work.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as a qualified journeyman plumber from the state of New Mexico.
- Able to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds on a regular basis and sustain prolonged walking and standing.
- Two (2) years of experience in commercial and residential plumbing.
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with ability to meet Santo Domingo Pueblo's liability insurance requirements and maintain eligibility for insurance.
- Pass a background check including FBI, State, Tribal, MVR, and new hire drug screening.
Qualifications
The position requires physical stamina to work long hours and overtime, if assigned, and the ability to work an irregular schedule, which may include weekends, holidays, evenings, and varying shifts. Incumbents must be able to see and hear in the normal range, with or without correction, and communicate verbally and in writing with great facility and must be able to be understood. Personal protective equipment, including protective footwear, must be worn.
