Lead Platform Engineer - NBA

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Platform Engineer - NBA to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will lead platform engineering efforts focused on reliability, scalability, and production readiness within a healthcare environment. The position will partner closely with engineering peers to strengthen uptime, performance, and resilience while also contributing hands-on to the codebase. It is well suited for a technical leader who can balance execution, operational rigor, and team guidance while improving the stability of critical platform services. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $129,300 – $177,800 annually Responsibilities Own delivery for the platform scale and reliability pod, including planning and execution Ensure uptime, performance, and resilience of the platform and proactively identify potential issues Build and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure quality standards are met Contribute to production code while improving platform infrastructure Oversee logging, metrics collection, and monitoring strategies for system behavior Define error handling and fault tolerance patterns across distributed services Evaluate and promote scalability solutions to enhance platform performance Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field 8+ years of full stack software engineering experience 1–2 years of experience leading platform reliability or production operations Strong experience with Java, Python, Node.js, or TypeScript Expertise in automated testing frameworks and observability practices Ability to lead a small engineering team while contributing technically Experience with cloud-native applications on Kubernetes Benefits Medical, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) retirement savings plan Paid time off including personal holidays Paid parental and caregiver leave Short-term and long-term disability and life insurance Opportunities for personal wellness and smart healthcare decisions Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
