Lead Phlebotomist
Job Summary
The Lead Phlebotomist oversees the blood collection and specimen receiving processes of the laboratory on the assigned shift. This role manages workflow at the specimen receiving table and dispatches phlebotomists as needed throughout the facility, and assists the Phlebotomy Supervisor with staff management.
Responsibilities

- Dispatch phlebotomists throughout the facility as needed.
- Assist the Phlebotomy Supervisor with management of phlebotomy staff.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Certified Phlebotomy Course (strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated experience with required areas of expertise.
- Leadership qualities demonstrated during phlebotomy duties.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with staff, patients, families, and vendors.
- Very good phlebotomy, computer, and communication skills.
