Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Advisory Board Meetings and lead programmatic faculty meetings to ensure high standards for student outcomes and community satisfaction.
  • Review textbooks and course materials; assist with the orientation and mentoring of new faculty members.
  • Design and deliver engaging lesson plans that appeal to different learning styles, ensuring students meet all clinical objectives.
  • Partner with Career Services to oversee student progress during clinical externships and maintain contact with site partners.
  • Manage supply inventory, track graduate certification pass rates, and participate in annual Program Effectiveness Plans.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited institution recognized by the USDE or CHEA.
  • Graduate of an ASHP/ACPE-accredited Pharmacy Technician program or equivalent accredited specialty program.
  • Minimum 5 years of occupational experience in pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Must be a Licensed Pharmacist or Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in good standing as required by Texas state law.
  • Current membership in at least one national and one state pharmacy organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
  • Minimum 3 years of prior teaching experience in the subject field preferred.
