Lead Pharmacist
Position Summary
At CloudRx, the Lead Pharmacist for our non-dispensing Specialty HUB Pharmacy is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, performance, and development of the pharmacist team. In this leadership role, you will ensure efficiency, accuracy, quality, and exceptional service across all pharmacy workflows. You will help optimize daily operations, enforce compliance with policies and procedures, and ensure pharmacists are supported with the knowledge and tools needed to succeed. This role includes managing queues, monitoring KPIs, overseeing attendance and scheduling, and partnering with leadership on key initiatives that enhance overall performance and client satisfaction. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Team Leadership: Supervise, coach, and support the pharmacist team to ensure high-quality, efficient, and accurate performance. Provide feedback, maintain equitable scheduling, and ensure adequate pharmacist coverage.
- Performance Management: Track and monitor KPIs, using data to identify trends, productivity gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with Training & Development leadership to enhance performance and achieve service level targets.
- Coaching & Development: Provide ongoing mentorship, conduct performance evaluations, and develop improvement plans when needed to support professional growth.
- Escalation Support: Serve as the escalation point for complex medication questions, drug interaction concerns, or high-level clinical issues requiring advanced pharmacist judgment.
- Queue Oversight: Monitor workflow and prescription queues to ensure timely processing. Perform staff pharmacist duties when needed to support service levels and operational continuity.
- Operational Management: Support attendance tracking, scheduling, workflow oversight, and other assigned operational responsibilities.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to support workflow enhancements, process improvements, and operational initiatives.

- Expertise in clinical pharmacy operations and Specialty Pharmacy workflows.
- Strong understanding of managed care, PBM processes, insurance verification, and billing.
- Skilled in identifying workflow gaps and recommending operational or IT enhancements.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited program.
- Active Texas Pharmacist License (required).
- Strong analytical, communication, computer, and organizational skills.
- Experience in Specialty Pharmacy areas such as Fertility, Oncology, or Dermatology preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance verification, PBM functions, and managed care processes.
- Ability to maintain all required licensure and continuing education.
- Curiosity and willingness to identify and recommend workflow or technology improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in a clinical pharmacy setting, preferably in a non-dispensing or Specialty Pharmacy role.
