About the Role
The Human Resources Lead Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll. This role focuses on the payroll process of the facility, provides customer service to all team members, and helps resolve any issues and complaints. This role will lead the payroll team in all aspects of payroll under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager and the Assistant Human Resources Manager. This role also provides administrative support to the human resources function as needed, including record keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry, SAP entry, Kronos entry, and other tasks as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Lead the Human Resources Payroll Team under the Human Resources Manager.
Responsibilities
- Leads the payroll team with all aspects of payroll including verifying employee time, payroll deductions, vacation, etc.
- Work closely with managers and supervisors.
- Maintain records as required by State and Federal Laws.
- Respond in a timely manner to employee problems, questions, and concerns.
- General office procedures including phone calls and filing.
- Help train and assist any new payroll specialist in need of training.
- Other duties as needed or required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associates/Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred but not required) or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent attendance (Internal candidates must have less than 3 points).
- Ability to work 6 days a week if needed.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
- Ability to be flexible with schedule when needed.

- Bilingual (Spanish, French, Creole, Burmese) preferred but not required.

- Ability to work in Kronos Systems.
- Ability to work in C-Cure Systems.

Schedule
- 1st Shift (Flexibility Required).
- Travel Requirements: 0-5%.
Pay
Base Hourly: $21.78-$24.50
